Are You a Woman (or Man) of Prayer?

God’s acquaintance is not made hurriedly. He does not bestow His gifts on the casual or hasty comer and goer.

E. M. Bounds, Power Through Prayer (chapter vii)

And why would you want to be a mere acquaintance of God when you can allow Him to deepen your relationship?

God has already laid out the path; you just have to step onto it.

The more time we spend with God, in secret, sincere, long prevailing prayer, the more He reveals of Himself.

Do you give God your first waking minutes? Do you spend time in His presence? Do you spend quality time with Him where you’re thankful for His presence, and not just what He’s done for you?

If not, then take a moment right now and ask God to help you and mould you into a woman of prayer.

Make spending time with God your top priority.

Practical side

At your next writing session, pray and ask God to strengthen your prayer life, and help you reschedule your day to prioritise time with Him. Write down whatever He shows you in your diary or prayer journal.

Prayer prompt

Ask God to keep you on His schedule and to give you the tools to do it.

God bless you in your journey. Amen
