At the Bula Festival

The squeaks of the swings compete with children’s squeals here at Nadi Town children’s park this Saturday afternoon.

It’s the last day for the Bula Festival and I’m here with my youngest nephew and nieces, JR, Ana, and Bella. The children have gone on the rides, JR and Ana on the closed ferris wheel, and Bella on the flying cars.

The rides start from $8 per person flat, and a few are at $10. The cost quickly add up when you factor in food and drinks, and with Bella along, bubble guns and balloons.

Each year the price of the rides, snacks, food and drinks go up. And each year the quality goes down.
