We can only be faithful to God, and remain faithful to Him when we trust Him completely. It’s the same in every relationship. If you can’t trust someone, you can’t be there for them, you won’t be able to believe anything they say.

God is faithful and true. He never lies. Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, and forevermore and we can trust Him.

His lord said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”

Your Trust, His Joy

As a middle-aged introverted spinster, I’ve learned to trust God, and in His direction for my life. I’ve learned that trusting God gives me peace because it allows me to be honest and authentic with Him. And I know my act of trust gives Him joy. For doesn’t it bring us joy when someone we care about trusts in us?

God is our foundation, not an add-on, not an after-thought. He is our creator, provider, and our Heavenly Father, and He is Almighty God. Trust Him to meet you where you are, and trust Him to bring you forward and onward from where you are to where He wants you to be.

Prayer

“Father God, You are Holy and worthy to be praised! You are worthy of our complete trust and faithfulness. Help me to be trustworthy, and to be faithful and true. In Jesus’ name, I pray this. Amen!”

Gather your materials: Your Bible, either a physical copy or a digital one; your journal, diary or notebook; favourite pens, highlighters, etc.

Read through the verse again, pray, and write down what the Holy Spirit shows you about what you’ve read.
