You know that we can only fight spiritual warfare with God-given spiritual weapons, including the full Armour of God.
As I mentioned in my previous posts on the subject, we have to believe in God and believe that His armour works, for it to work for us.
You have to put on the armour, the full set, each piece, for only then can you get to use them. It’s not enough to simply read the Bible verse in Ephesians out loud, you have to say, out loud that you’re putting on each piece of armour.
Do this in your morning prayer time before you face the day. And everytime you’re facing a difficult situation.
During a difficult time in my life, I learned this prayer on how to put on the full Armour of God.
First, read the entire chapter 6 of the Book of Ephesians, and keep verses 13 to 20 in mind as you pray.
Therefore take up the full Armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
EPHESIANS 6:13-18 NKJV
A Prayer to Help You Put On the Full Armour of God
"Our Heavenly Father,
You are Holy and You alone are worthy of all our praise.
Father God, I praise and worship You. May You be blessed in all the world.. Thank You, for giving us and equipping us Your full Armour.
Father God, I now put on Your Armour. Firstly, I declare that I am covered with the Blood of Jesus.
And now I take and put on the belt of Your Truth around my waist, girding my loins; I put on the breastplate of Your righteousness; I put on the shoes of Your peace; I take up the shield of the faith that our Lord Jesus has in You, perfecting my own, and extinguishing all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
I put on the helmet of Your salvation, putting my thoughts and my mind upon Your finished work on the Cross, knowing that I am saved and secured in Christ Jesus.
And I take up and wield Your sword of the Spirit, Your Word full of life and truth.
In Jesus's name, I pray this. Amen."
