Review of Power Through Prayer by E. M. Bounds

This book has languished in a cardboard box since I first read it years ago. It was only yesterday afternoon, while looking for another book, that I picked it up again. A tangible answer to prayer because I’d been asking the Lord to guide me deeper into prayer. Not the rote prayers of acknowledging His presence and thanking Him for His provision, but deeper.

A journey into deeper intimacy with God. Into a world where words and meaning and intentions and purity and integrity and goodness and bright sparks and gentleness and His still small voice come together and come through clearly to me. A place where I’m always conscious of Him, of His presence, and I can hear the Holy Spirit as clear as the beat of the church lali on a Sunday morning.

I’m re-reading this book and doing a chapter-a-day review.

Watch and pray…
