A good theme is like a landscape in full bloom, full of all the beautiful, useful plants, beautiful views of the mountains, or the sea, or trees. Even better would be all of the above,

I took this photo (above) while waiting at the bus stop for the bus after work today. The landscape was a lush green only a few weeks ago, but it was razed down to brown by the sun, and then to black by a fire.
The ever changing landscape reminds me of my quest to find the best theme for my website and blog, something I’ve done since I started blogging. A good theme is like a beautiful landscape, it holds every element together and is pleasant to the eye. It inspires us to look longer and deeper, and encourages us to get to know just what it is we are looking at. To see each element as an individual piece intergral to the landscape.
I changed my website theme today convinced that I’ve at last found something that I’m happy with.
My goal for my website and blog this new month is to not change themes. Let this one be, let it breathe. Stop working on the design and start working on writing. Let it breathe, while I work on the important task of writing and posting more essays, more notes, more poetry.
So help me, God!
